‘Unique Minds: An Anthology of Art, Poetry, and Short Stories by Autistic People’ is an anthology book that marks the conclusion of a project that aims to inspire autistic writers and offer them the linguistic tools necessary to share their individual stories and voices.

The project started off as a few workshops delivered both online and in-person to support autistic people to discover their voice as a writer and to learn the important elements in story writing and develop their unique writing styles.

As a celebration of the creativity of the individuals that attended the workshops, Faraway set about creating a collaborative project to give the newly discovered writers their time in the limelight.

At the time, this anthology book was titled ‘The Power of Autism’. This would later develop to include international voices of autistic people and adopt the new title, ‘Unique Minds’.

This book was made possible by the fantastic work by all the authors and artists that submitted such amazing work and Editor and book fanatic, Rosemarie Cawkwell, who put the book together.
